The Oberoi, Gurgaon has unveiled Ziya, its newest restaurant offering a contemporary take on Indian cuisine. The restaurant is mentored by chef Vineet Bhatia, whose restaurant Zaika in London was awarded a Michelin Star in  2001, making him the first Indian chef to receive the honour. Ziya’s menu celebrates the diverse flavours of India with a focus on modern techniques and locally sourced ingredients.

Michelin-Starred Expertise Leads Ziya’s Kitchen

Chef Bhatia brings a wealth of experience to Ziya. A graduate of The Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, he has established award-winning restaurants across the globe and garnered recognition on television shows like Netflix’s The Final Table. His role as mentor positions Ziya alongside his other Indian ventures – Ziya at The Oberoi, Mumbai, and Dhilli at The Oberoi, New Delhi.

Designed by Architecture Discipline, Ziya’s interior reflects a fusion of traditional elegance and contemporary flair. High ceilings and reflective surfaces create a sense of spaciousness, while the entrance features a striking fire-fused glass artwork. Seating options include a central communal table and individual pods with caramelized glass tabletops and brass supports. Hand-blown glass sconces and art deco-inspired chandeliers add a touch of sophistication, creating an atmosphere that blends timeless charm with modern design.

Locally Sourced, Globally Inspired

The à la carte menu at Ziya reflects the culinary tapestry of India, with a nod to Gurgaon’s cosmopolitan character. Chef Bhatia’s signature dishes feature reimagined classics, with a focus on fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. Expect innovative takes on familiar favorites, alongside options that cater to vegetarian and dietary preferences.

Ziya boasts a curated cocktail menu featuring unique concoctions that utilize indigenous ingredients. The restaurant also offers a unique tea service featuring exclusive Newby blends such as Valley of Roses and Chanda, catering to a range of palates.
