She wasn’t just at Cannes, she owned it. She blew up our feeds with her DIY looks on the red carpet. From a blogger who would make outfits from scratch to bagging magazine covers and meaty sponsorship deals, her year-to-date is a breakthrough success story like no other.

They somehow make it look darn easy; and boy it isn’t. Their cross-category power portfolio of this newly minted member of the World’s 50 Best list tickles the fancy of diners and brands alike. There’s structure in their chaos, enough for local & global platforms to acknowledge their impact and prowess. For now, we’d like a slice of their stamina-pie.

Like him or hate him, you can not ignore him.
Actors and creators haven’t catapulted to such rapid recognition as the man who, well, is working on himself. This year, he, his job description, and hand made national news. He’s quick to be in on the joke, and knows how to monetise it. If there were ever a lust for ROI and ER analytics, his numbers will light your fire.

Recently recognised as Industry Icon at Asia’s Top 50 bars 2024, the man has been patiently and diligently working on India’s cocktail revolution. Building bars and teams for close to three decades, Lama has shaped many a career. Both his bars in Delhi & Gurugram are award magnets, and the announcement of his next launch already has trade & consumer calling to make prior reservation.

If there were ever a face for the ‘go for growth’ tagline, you’re looking at him. In the last 7 months, he’s shot and posted 161 times (we checked), celebrated a milestone 100 outlets of Goila Butter Chicken, played padel, crossed the million mark on social media, and struck multiple brand deals.
A Delishaas success story indeed.

It’s not very often that all us different folk sense a common surge of national pride, the same time. Anasuya managed to evoke just that. She made history as the first Indian to win Best Actress at Cannes for her performance in ‘The Shameless’; a noir thriller set against the backdrop of the devadasi system.
There’s a sense of everybody-ness in her win, one that maybe helps change gears in our submission process and presentation of great cinema. Her statement, “I am more proud of Payal’s win than I am of mine” makes her a certified resident in our heart.

He broke the internet. He put Kerala rap on the global map. He shot in the well of death. He clocked 3.7 million views and 290K likes in just two weeks. Daredevillish visual grammar pinned by a centrifugal force, with a small cut to a smile of glee on his face.
The artistic styling he brings along to his music and visual content certfies that he is the biggest of Big Dawgs.
Prateek Sadhu
Chef

This time around, he’s making news for all the right reasons. An unconventional, but spankingly on-brand career decision has many of us travel to the mountains for food. Naar’s inclusion in the ‘World’s Greatest Places in 2024’ by TIME Magazine sought a collective cheer and endorsement. Destination dining is his vision – an ambitious dining segment that is slowly building anchorage in India. Coupled with a reverance to spotlight all things local, this may be Sadhu’s most curious and authentic self. Keen to see his cook in the next few months.

There’s a common thread between our favourite bars. Aside from the actual drinking, it’s Anirudh. With over 800 bars under his belt, his precise and sensible designs are improving consumer experience and enabling seamless operations and service at some of India’s top bars.
Payal Kapadia
Filmmaker

Who would believe the saying that third time’s a charm more than Payal Kapadia? ‘All We Imagine as Light’ won the Grand Prix at Cannes 2024, making cinematic history by being the first Indian film to win in this category. But this is not her first win at Cannes. From the only Indian film to be selected in 2017, to getting the Best Documentary Film award at the 2021 Cannes – Payal is clearly cut out for this.
