Spiced Ginger Camomile Hot Toddy

Piping hot tea is an eternal do-gooder. Add to that a little tipple and make that smile wider!

Prep Time: 35  minutes

Caters to: 2 gobblers

Challenge Level: Beginner level

From The Pantry:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves, whole
  • 1 chamomile tea bag
  • 1 ginger tea bag
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup whisky

Cook Away:

  • Pour water in a small saucepan and add cinnamon sticks along with cloves before turning the heat to medium-high. Cover with a lid and bring to boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and allow it to simmer for 20 minutes for the flavours to diffuse.
  • Remove from heat and strain the water. Place the chamomile and ginger tea bags in the saucepan. Let it steep for 10 minutes with lid on.
  • Remove the tea bags and add honey, lemon and whiskey. Turn the heat on medium-low and stir till honey dissolves completely and it reaches the desired temperature.

Pour in a cup and serve steaming hot!
