Hoots’, nestled in Basant Lok market, proudly earns its place among our top recommendations. Its recognition in Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, securing a spot in the prestigious top 100, validates its standing. While our previous recommendation was the No#7 cocktail, as part of the ultimate bar hopping itinerary for Vasant Vihar, after many more visits and taste tests, our newest recommendation is No#9. This delightful concoction, crafted with home blended rum, espresso and the warmth of ginger vanilla, and enhanced by Fernet-Branca, is an ideal choice to kickstart your evening on a high note.
Cocktails and Dreams, Gurugram: The Watering Hole

Boasting of being Gurugram’s go-to speakeasy bar, Cocktails and Dreams, started by barman Yangdup Lama in 2012, in a basement, came to be known by word-of-mouth, like most of the others. The speakeasy aims to be an approachable and not elitist and hence, is designed to have simple chairs and benches. Our recommendation is The Watering Hole, made with a blend of gin, fresh watermelon juice and Campari to top it all off, with summer making it’s way back, it’s sure to make it to your list as well.
PCO, Vasant Vihar: Papa Don’t Preach

Well-known to be one of Delhi’s first and finest speakeasy bars, popularised by the passcode machine at the entrance, Pass Code only has also made it to Asia’s 50 Best Bars. Our personal favourite is a tequila based drink, Papa Don’t Preach, harmonised with citrus undertones, this cocktail showcases the artistry of Pistola Reposado, blended seamlessly with peach nectar, lime, and a delicate peach foam, all infused with hints of dairy.
The Backyard, Punjabi Bagh: Berry Lin Sour

The Backyard, has been a haunt for most people in Punjabi Bagh, but recently took Instagram by a storm in lieu with their rebrand as a speakeasy hidden behind a grocery store. The bar menu is extensive and we personally recommend the Berry Lin Sour, concocted with gin, cherry infused Brandy, topped off with Blackberry, Gooseberry, and dusted with Sprinkled Hibiscus Dust, a sweet and sour drink.
