Our New in Town series is a curated compilation of new restaurant and bar launches, new menus and even new outlets.
New in Town

Every day countless new restaurants open in India. Our usual scrolling on Instagram is now filled with new launches, menus, and new outlets, making it difficult to pick the best one. That is why, we, at The Lab Mag, are making this task easy for everyone with our #NewInTown list where we share our perfect curation of new restaurants and updates in most cities across India.

New restaurants in Mumbai

TAT

TAT, meaning coast in Hindi is the newest spot in Vikhroli offering traditional Indian coastal cuisine. Started by  Sumit Govind Sharma, a restaurateur behind EVE-Powai and Worli, and Que Sera Sera-Andheri, the cuisine at TAT is influenced by traditional recipes from the Indian peninsula, complemented by select Sri Lankan dishes. It features dishes from nine Indian coastal cities. Indulge in dishes such as Fish Koliwada, Sigadi Ghee Roast, Mangalore prawns, Gobhi Puvvu, Pooran Polli Phyllo rolls, and much more.

Ode to Classics Menu at the Bakerie

Embark on a nostalgic journey with everything quintessential Mumbai with The Bakerie‘s Ode to Classics menu. From a Masala Chai Tea Cake, Shrewsbury Cookie Sandwich, Irani Kheema Quiche, Pav Bhaji Calzone, to Gunpowder Cheese Straws — each dish is testament to food describes Mumbai.

Sante Spa Cuisine (New Outlet)

Sante Spa Cuisine has been pioneering healthy, globally-inspired vegetarian and vegan cuisine across cities in India. They have expanded their footprint in Mumbai after their successful outlet in BKC to South Mumbai at the iconic Royal Opera House. The new Sante Spa Cuisine is designed by renowned interior designer Prachi Joshi of DesignWorx. The restaurant seamlessly blends modern infrastructure with natural earthy elements. Make sure to try Zucchini Zoodles in Hemp Pesto, Arbi Tuk Tuk, Balinese Tempeh “Satay”, Salted Peanut Butter Mud Pot, healthy juices, Kombuchas, and more.

New Bowl Menu at Mool: Kaapi Bar & Bakes

Known for its South Indian filter coffee, Mool: Kaapi Bar & Bakes in Fort has a new health-conscious bowl menu. If you are on a diet or just want to eat healthy, opt for their Falafel bowl, Burrata and Barley Salad, Korean Bowl, Vegetable Ishtu Khao Suey, or even a Big Bong Bowl which is a tribute to Bengali cuisine.

Business Lunch Set Menu at Trèsind

Known for its 14-course degustation menu, Trèsind has launched a new set menu that caters to the working professionals available for lunch from Monday to Friday. The Business Set Lunch Menu is a six-course menu, with a targeted dining time of 45 minutes to 1 hour, ideal for the lunch break duration. Expect dishes such as a Raw and Ripe Aamras Puri, lamb chop with rosemary vindaloo curry and ghee roast potato, sour curd rice with moilee ice-cream and curry leaf honey, filter coffee cornetto with miso caramel ice-cream, and much more.

New Menu at Nksha

Indulge in a North Indian feast with Nksha’s new menu that features dishes that savour the essence of old Bombay’s charm as well. The menu consists of dishes such as Coriander Paneer Tikka, Edamame Peas and Water chestnut  Kebab, Exotic Vegetable Khurchan, Pathar Ka Ghost, Methi Chicken, and Lobster Tikka Masala to name a few. Pair these dishes with their cocktails such as Sunset at Marine Drive, A Fresh Start, and more.

P.F. Chang’s (New Outlet)

This global Pan-Asian cuisine restaurant chain opened its second outlet in Mumbai’s Khar. A three-decade-year-old brand, P.F. Chang’s has over 300 restaurants in more than 20 countries. It is known for its dynamite shrimp, lettuce wraps, orange chicken, spicy kimchi fried rice, and more.

Kaméi

Another addition to the Asian cuisine in Delhi is Kaméi. Located in Delhi’s Eldeco Centre, Kaméi is a Modern Asian Restaurant & Cocktail Bar. Kaméi is an addition to the renowned House of Fio and comes with 15 years of experience. The menu broadly spans the East Asian water belt from Japan all the way to Indonesia.

Monkey Bar

The all-new Monkey Bar in Vasant Kunj aims to provide a contemporary gastropub experience. With a tropical theme, the decor is sure to transport you to the jungles of partying as you sip on cocktails and munch of mouth-watering food.

Call Me Ten

Call Me Ten is the newest Japanese restaurant in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar. Call Me Ten is where Diners can step into a high fidelity, modern Japanese Izakaya experience with progressive flavours, and an intensive mixology programme. Indulge in a Salmon Carpaccio, or even a warm bowl of ramen, with crafted cocktails.

The Mission Bay

Get a taste of authentic San Franciscan cuisine at the first-of-its-kind San Francisco, California-themed restaurant. Located in Delhi’s Eldeco Centre, The Mission Bay. This chic, high-energy restaurant and bar is born from a three-year journey of Puja Sahu, a restaurateur and founder of The Potbelly Bihari Kitchen. The menu  features influences from Mexico, Italy, the Mediterranean, Japan, and Korea, all crafted using the freshest ingredients, staying true to California’s culinary ethos.

Hot Chocolate Menu at Rio Salao, DoubleTree by Hilton

Enjoy Goa’s monsoon with a cup of comforting hot chocolate at Rio Salao, DoubleTree by Hilton. Be it a classic European Hot Chocolate, one with Nutella, a Mexican Hot Chocolate with a hint of cinnamon and chilli, the Irish Hot Chocolate with a touch of Baileys Liqueur, or even a Vegan Hot chocolate, there is something for everyone. Los Cavos

Mumbai’s Latin-American hotspot Los Cavos makes its way to Bengaluru’s Indiranagar. The menu celebrates the richness of the Peru, with a blend of Japanese, Spanish, and Italian influences globally known as Nikkei cuisine. Indulge in a Beef Carpaccio, Umami Corn Ribs, Gochujang Carbonara, or even a pork Belly with Chaufa Rice. Pair these with their cocktails that draw inspiration from Latin America such as a classic picante, pisco sour, and more. End your meal with Churros, or tiramisu.

Paper & Pie (new Outlet)

Paper & Pie, a popular cafe in Bengaluru known for its comfort food and cosy ambience has opened its third outlet in RMZ Ecoworld, Bellandur. The new outlet of Paper & Pie is spread across 2700 sq ft. Their menu ranges from Indian favourites to global hits from Europe. They also offer freshly baked croissants, pies, brownies and more to pair with their award-winning coffee, sourced from the foothills of Chikmangalur.

Dessert menu at one8 Commune

Goodness is Serv’d is a limited-edition dessert menu at one8 Commune in Bengaluru featuring Ulo Ice Cream. Chef Agnibh Mudi of one8 Commune has curated a menu with innovative desserts that complement Ulo’s offerings where each bite is an indulgent sweet adventure.

New restaurants in Pune

Ladurée at The Ritz-Carlton

Ladurée, world-renowned French patisserie brand launches its outlet in Pune’s Ritz-Carlton. The menu will include their signature French toasts, high tea Charlies, avocado toasts, salads, sandwiches,  tea, coffee, and, of course, Ladurée’s signature sweet offerings including macarons, Eugenie, and  pastries.

New Menu at Poult American Bar & Bistro

Known for its American-inspired dishes, Poult American Bar & Bistro is out with its new menu. Whether you’re craving fried chicken, gourmet burgers, or something in between, this place has something for everyone. Make sure to order their zesty Hot & Spicy Chicken Strips, Tater Tots, Cheesy Jalapeno Poppers, Crispy Paneer Steak, Chipotle Chicken Taco, Parmesan Truffle Fries, and much more. Make sure to end your meal with their All-American Cheesecake.

Lair (New Outlet)

New in town

Known to be the third best bar as per the 30 Best bars in India list, Lair is famous for its immersive mixology programme. Pair its award-winning cocktails with their Pan-Asian cuisine for a wholesome experience. This award-winning bar has now opened its doors in Gurugram!

Ziya at The Oberoi

Michelin-starred chef Vineet Bhatia’s Ziya opens its doors in Gurugram’s The Oberoi. Ziya celebrates the rich and varied culinary heritage of India, from Kashmir to Kerala, Goa to Bengal, all imbued with Chef Bhatia’s signature modern twist. Some of the signature dishes by Chef Bhatia include Aloo Toffee, Ghee Roast Lamb, Pan Grilled Sambhar Fish, and Curry Leaf Tofu.

Arigato

Arigato is Gurugram’s latest Pan-Asian cuisine restaurant. This progressive Pan-Asian House is by Avantika Sinha Bahl, the same team behind Kampai and Basque. Arigato pays homage to Tokyo’s vibrant nightlife while offering a gastronomic journey through the diverse regions of Asia. Besides a vibrant bar scene, expect a dedicated sushi and salad bar.

New Menu at Sly Granny

Khan Market’s Sly Granny has an all-new menu which is a fusion of contemporary flair and classic European influences. The new menu has a variety of innovative dishes like Shish Tawook Broccoli and Greek Vegetable Medley and Candied Pumpkin, Herb-Crusted Salmon, and Paprika Chicken and Caramelized Onion Pizza, among others. They also have a new cocktail and pasta menu.

K-Pop Menu at Mamagato

Love K-Pop? Love cocktails? Love Asian food? Mamagato is the place to go! The new K-Pop Menu at Mamagato is a selection of six unique cocktails and six refreshing mocktails, each inspired by the vibrant spirit and flavours of Korean pop culture. This new menu is available at all outlets of Mamagato across India for two months.

New Menu at Maruchi

South Delhi’s Japanese restaurant Maruchi gets a new seasonal menu. Curated by Chef Vaibhav Soni and Chef Palden, expect refreshing cocktails and dishes such as Mongolian Chicken Tossed In A Homemade Alphonso Mango Sauce, Steamed Silken Tofu With Thai Herbs Infused In Coconut Cream, Artichoke & Butternut Squash In A Chilli Oyster Sauce, and much more.

TwentySeven Pizza and Bakes

Aditi and Aditya Dugar, the co-founders of Masque come up with TwentySeven Pizza and Bakes. An upgrade to their beloved TwentySeven Bakehouse in Bandra, this new project – TwentySeven Pizza and Bakes is situated in Mahalaxmi’s Shakti Mills. Besides coffee and bakes, they are getting New York-style pizzas. They also have a pie menu created by International Pizza Consultant and ‘Pizza Czar’ Anthony Falco.

New Menu at Bastian

Bastian is still probably one of the most talked about restaurants in town. Both outlets, Bastian Bandra and Bastian At The Top in Dadar, have launched new menus. Diners can try new dishes such as the Pumpkin Robata, Lobster Pappardelle and Mushroom Pappardelle, Miso King Prawns Robata, Prawns Cheung Fun, Mandarin Wasabi Ceviche, and much more.

Nazaara at Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel

Nazaara at Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel offers an unparalleled panoramic view of the city, and the surrounding majestic hills, setting the stage for an unforgettable open-air dining experience under the stars. Nazaara offers rich, authentic North Indian, Mughlai, and Asian cuisines and is said to be the only restaurant in Mumbai offering 24 types of kebabs. It also boasts a Bourbon-based Cocktail Bar, featuring a unique blend of bourbon-based cocktails infused with locally sourced ingredients.

Ramen Biyori Menu at Sesame, Hyatt Centric

Craving a piping hot bowl of ramen in this season? Head to Sesame at Hyatt Centric in Juhu to satisfy your cravings with their ramen biyori menu which is on until August 4. Ramen Biyori translates to “A Perfect Day for Ramen and the broths are Sesame vary from light Shio to creamy Tonkatsu and are rich and flavourful, along with homemade jowar, ragi, and wheat noodles, along with a variety of toppings.

New Hot Chocolate Menu at Toast Doughnut Shop

Monsoon in Mumbai is the perfect hot chocolate weather and Toast Doughnut Shop in Bandra has an all new hot chocolate menu! From Toast Hot Chocolate, where 55% dark Belgian chocolate meets a choice of milk, a secret spice mix, and a dollop of torched marshmallow fluff, Pasta Bar Tiramisu Hot Chocolate, a blend of dark Belgian chocolate, milk, espresso, vanilla and rum syrup, and the essence of savoiardi biscuit to even The Chai Hot Chocolate which combines dark Belgian chocolate, milk, and the comforting spices of masala chai, finished with chocolate-covered Parle G biscuits – there is something for everyone.

New Monsoon Menu at Mokai

Bandra’s Asian-inspired cafe Mokai has an all new monsoon menu. Start the rainy mornings with Breakfast Sambal Egg Curry, or the fluffy eggs. Or if you visit at another time, do try their dim sums in Tom Yum broth drizzled with kaffir lime oil, Wasabi Crispy Lollipops, Iced Pistachio Tiramisu Latte, and more.

BaaMee

BaaMee is an all day eatery and bar started by Yezdi Irani and Saikot Chaki. With a unique and modern retro theme, BaaMee focuses on global progressive cuisine with a high-energy bar and a contemporary yet nostalgic deisgn. The concept behind BaaMee’s interiors is inspired by the Memphis style, known for its use of bright colours, geometric shapes, and bold patterns. This style draws from a mix of Art Deco, futurism, and Pop Art influences. The menu features a variety of options such as Black Velvet French Toast, Kolkata Mutton Stew with Multigrain Pav, Kache Khaital Ke Kacchi Pulao, Banana Blossom Shami Kebab, Red Blood Orange Brownie with Grapefruit Crème, and much more.

Kopitiam Lah

The team behind Lavonne brings Kopitiam Lah to Bengaluru. This Malaysian coffee shop is said to be the first Kopitiam in India. They have a varied selection for food such as Malaysian half boiled eggs, nasi lemak, wantons and dumplings, noodles, soup, curries and roti canai, laksa, and much more.

Burma Burma (New Outlet)

The popular all vegetarian Burmese cuisine chain Burma Burma has opened its fourth outlet in Bengaluru’s Orion Mall. This outlet takes inspiration from Shan District’s Inle Lake and that can be seen in its interiors and food as well. Besides the classic favourites at Burma Burma, this outlet will be featuring ingredients such as the Tohu which a native to the Shan District.

Narrative

Koregaon Park in Pune sees a new addition to the F&B landscape with Narrative. With an all-day cocktail bar and an open rooftop space, Narrative aims to create a casual, yet fun dining experience. With dishes such as the Narrative Misal, Prawn Rasam, Manipuri Black Rice Crisps, the menu aims to break the stereotype that traditional Indian food can’t be innovated.

New Pesto and Wine Menu at Toscano

Toscano, a casual-dining Italian restaurant has an exciting new Pesto and Wine menu. From the classic Basil Pesto Genovese to the unique Pesto Alla Rosso with sun-dried tomatoes and almonds, the diner is spoilt for choice at Toscano. Opt for the chef-crafted Pizza Con Zucchine Pesto E Formaggio Di Capra, Olive Pesto Crusted Grilled Salmon,Pesto Rosso Con Trofie Pasta, and pair it with their selection of wines such as Baron Philippe de Rothschild Chardonnay, Merlot from France, or even Frescobaldi Pater Sangiovese from Italy.

The Goan dining scene gets another addition with Bonita in South Goa. Drawing inspiration from Indo-Portuguese designs, the space is a blend of historical and contemporary influences. Bonita is a globally inspired modern kitchen and bar with dishes that span European, American, Western and South Asian cuisines. The menu revolves around the use of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients including fresh Goan sea and farm produce.

Shiso

Amritsar gets Shiso, a modern Pan-Asian restaurant. It is founded by Amritsar-based F&B entrepreneurs Vansh Aggarwal alongside Aftab Sidhu, Honey Mishra and Mankaran Johar. The menu spans traditional Pan-Asian tastes from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, and India, alongside global favourites. Shiso will soon unveil its exclusive Omakase dining experience, and a chef’s tasting menu as well.

Located in Nehru Place in Delhi, Thanks & Beyond is all about comfort food. This restaurant is divided in to three sections and caters to three different sets of mood. Thanks is their all-day indoor dining for comfort food, & is the outdoor space to unwind and Beyond turns into a speakeasy once it is dark.

Yum Yum Cha (New Outlet)

New in town

After 10 years and five outlets in the Delhi-NCR region, Yum Yum Cha is back to its roots with a new outlet in Select CityWalk, right next to its original one. Known for its sushi, dim sum, mochi ice cream, and Thai, Japanese, and Chinese cuisine, Yum Yum Cha is a go-to spot for many families now.

The Red Door

New in town

Located in Delhi’s Rajouri Garden, The Red Door is a culinary journey through South East Asia. From a horizontal plant wall, to a red cladded wall, the interiors are soothing and a portal to South East Asia. This place is known for its sushi, Asian clay pots, and robata grills.

Pass The Salt

New in town

A popular cloud pizzeria, Pass The Salt is finally a dine-in pizza cafe in Fort. Founded by Chef Kruti Sanghvi and husband Vishal Shah, they specialise in Chicago-style deep dish and laminated thin crust Vienna-style pizzas. The menu also includes grilled cheese sandwiches, salads, desserts and much more. Their beverage menu offers coffees by homegrown Indian brand Koinonia Coffee Roasters featuring specialty coffees, and artisanal hot brews and cold coffees.

Bread Bar

New in town

Chembur’s favourite bakery, the Bread Bar just got an upgrade with Bread Bar 2.0 which is now a dine-in space as well. Founded by Chef Rachi Gupta, who is also behind Gelato Bar in Bandra, her new 45-seater space is now a cafe and bakery serving comfort food. She has retained her coffees, baked goods, and even desserts but Bread Bar 2.0 has sandwiches, pizzas, hand rolled pastas and much more! Our favourites have to be the garlic aioli dip along with their sourdough pizzas, jalapeno and cheese croissant, brioche donuts and their latest edition – the blackforest toast which was nostalgic and comforting.

High Tea Menu at Gallops

What’s a better way to enjoy Mumbai’s monsoons if not for garam chai and lip-smacking food? Gallops is out with a new High tea Menu that you can relish at their popular al-fresco cabanas. From assorted muffins, finger sandwiches, chaat, pakodas, quiches, to even new cocktails like the Caramel Popcorn sour, Guava Collins, Spiced Java Plum, and Lychee Paloma – this is the perfect high tea option to enjoy!

Dragon Boat Menu at Yauatcha

New in town

Yauatcha is celebrating the traditional Chinese holiday, the Dragon Boat Festival with a limited edition Dragon Boat Menu and a new cocktail menu in collaboration with Patron. The menu includes a variety of dumplings such as black truffle zongzi dumpling, braised pork belly zongzi dumpling, and more. The theme for the new cocktail menu is East meets West and opt for Smoke & Chill, Dragon Boat Margarita, The Samurai and more.

505 Coffee

New in town

Mumbai is all set to have a new coffee place. 505 Coffee is set to open in July and is located in Fort. With an aim to revolutionise the coffee culture in the city, 505 Coffee will be partnering with local farmers, engaging in sustainable sourcing, and reducing their footprint.

New cocktail menu at Cafe Calma

New in town

Cafe Calma at Kemps Corner is all set with its new cocktail menu. This rooftop restaurant has taken inspiration from destinations around the world taking origin ingredients to create a limited cocktail menu, giving you a taste around the world in seven sips! The cocktails at Cafe Calma are limited to seven signatures with destinations such as Greece, Pondicherry, New York, Rajputana and Marrakech.

Vamos Brunch at La Loca Maria

The Vamos Brunch at Chef Manuel Olveira’s La Loca Maria is the spot to be every Sunday for a  Spanish-style leisurely meal. Start with egg options from the menu and then try new tacos, paella, Spanish tapas, drinks but also leave room for dessert. This brunch is a mix of crowd favourites and new additions.

New Japanese Peruvian Nikkei Menu at Oriental Wok, The Club

New in town

Oriental Wok is the Pan-Asian restaurant at The Club in Andheri. The new menu, curated by Chef Jason James Hudanish explores the Asian cuisine and celebrates Japanese and Peruvian Nikkei flavours. Expect  Dashi Miso Soup, Grilled Mushroom Bao Bun, Katsu Chicken Roll and Prawn Tempura Roll, Crab Gyoza, and more.

From guacamole made live on the tableside or the iconic burrito, served deconstructed in a bowl, tacos, sizzling fajitas, and flavorful enchiladas, to tequila-based cocktails, Sanchez is bringing a slice of Mexico to Bengaluru.

Waikiki

New in town

Inspired by the cultural tapestry of Hawaii, Waikiki highlights traditional Hawaiian cuisine with an innovative twist. Coming from a Michelin-star kitchen background, Executive Chef David Cagle, along with Chef Raj Thappa are sourcing ingredients such as Maui olive oil, and spices all the way from Hawaii to bring unqiue flavours to Mumbai. Their tropical cocktails are curated by Karl Fernandes and Deepak Koranga. Opt for the Don’s Grog, Three Dot & A Dash, and A Zombie.

Benne

With Benne — Mumbai’s latest hotspot  — South Indian food is no longer restricted to just Matunga. Situated in Bandra West, Benne is bringing heritage Bangalore dosa to the the city. A small cafe, this spot is already full till the weekend where people are lining up for their soft, buttery dosas.

Their fried chicken burger comes with peri peri chilli garlic, chilli habanero and hot and spicy dressing. They also have eight different variations of chicken tenders and burger options as well.
